Paper Substrates
Different paper materials have different effects on the color presentation of printed materials. Gloss, surface roughness, whiteness and light scattering are all paper properties that certainly will affect the color reproduction.Therefore, during the process of pattern production and comparison with the originals, it is necessary to use paper of the same material as the printed materials. As a result, some paper substrates are highly suggested to be sent to us for a more accurate spot color ink mixing.
Pantone Matching System (PMS) Number
One popular system used to identify and match spot colors accurately is the Pantone Matching System (PMS). The PMS provides a standardized set of colors, each assigned a unique identification number, enabling designers and printers to communicate effectively about their intended hues. In order to better reproduce the exact spot color you want, it’s better to provide us with the PMS number.
Wet ink sample
With a wet ink sample, in addition to the color hue, some other technical data of the ink can also be measured such as density, tack, drying, gloss, fineness, etc. These technical data are very important for us to analyze the ink sample and create the accurate ink formula that you wish.
